Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at FedUp Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the transportation and distribution of our products, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Operations
    • Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Develop and implement best practices for logistics, including vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to enhance operational performance.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs, and negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers.
    • Recommend optimal transport modes, routes, or frequencies and select carriers/suppliers, monitoring their performance against established criteria.
  • Inventory Management
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records, and implement processes to minimize inventory discrepancies.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Adhere to GMP policies when in the production facility and encourage team members to do the same.
    • Understand and comply with SQF policies, particularly regarding pest control, visitors, allergen management, and cleaning and sanitation.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and logistics providers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to management on logistics operations and performance metrics.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
    • At least 5 years of experience in logistics preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Proven experience in logistics, warehouse operations, and inventory management.
    • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
  • Frequently required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and push/pull/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel requirement of up to 20%.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch.
