Job Description

FedUp Foods, a leading functional beverage manufacturer, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize transportation and distribution, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and compliance with customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations, including liaison with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
  • Create and implement logistics principles, policies, and processes to improve operational and financial performance.
  • Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs, and negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers.
  • Recommend optimal transport modes, routes, or frequencies and select carriers/suppliers, monitoring their performance against established criteria.
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures for product transit and delivery.
  • Resolve issues related to transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, and customer concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Analyze and interpret trends, review data, and provide meaningful logistics information to the organization to aid in customer service and cost improvements.
Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies when in the production facility and encourage team members to do the same.
  • Understand and comply with Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies, particularly regarding pest control, visitors, allergen management, and cleaning and sanitation.
  • Demonstrate awareness of Management's Commitment to SQF, and work toward meeting the company's goals for food safety and quality.
  • Report any food quality or safety issues to the Quality Assurance Manager, allowing for appropriate corrective and preventative action (CAPA) to be taken.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in logistics, warehouse operations, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility in work hours to meet operational demands.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in logistics.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and push/pull/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel requirement of up to 20%.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch.
