Environmental Services Specialist

As a key member of our team at CommonSpirit Health, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. As our Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the hospital are clean, sanitized, and free from hazards.
Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation: Provide routine cleaning and decluttering services to all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, emergency rooms, operating rooms, hallways, nurses stations, waiting areas, and restrooms.
- Supply Management: Restock supplies as needed in supply areas, common areas, and patient rooms, including soap, paper towels, bath tissue, facial tissue, bath linens, bed linens, and cleaning supplies.
- Waste Disposal: Learn and follow proper techniques for disposal of all medical waste, including biological or biohazard waste such as bodily fluids or sharp implements.
- Customer Service: Remain patient, kind, and personable in all interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in commercial or healthcare cleaning is preferred.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
