Position Overview
The role is situated within the Clinical Division of the Indian Health Service. The Clinical Staffing Recruitment Coordinator will oversee the development, management, and execution of the Medical Staff Recruitment Program. This program aims to promote available positions and attract top-tier candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall management functions, including the creation of strategies that incorporate marketing principles, planning effective tactics, and organizing a thorough medical recruitment and marketing initiative for the service unit.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of the professional medical staffing requirements for the service unit.
- Maintain a database and management information system to monitor candidate leads for both immediate and future needs.
- Develop and implement both long-term and short-term policies, procedures, and program plans aimed at attracting and retaining skilled medical personnel.
- Regularly assess the program's effectiveness and prepare reports for the Clinical Director.
- Manage departmental resources, including personnel, equipment, supplies, and training, while adhering to an annual budget and utilizing marketing expertise to allocate funds effectively.
- Engage in job fairs, local and national conferences, and health career events at educational institutions to inform potential candidates about the Indian Health Service and its offerings.
- Act as a primary liaison for individuals interested in medical staff roles within the service unit, fostering relationships with service chiefs through regular meetings or communications.
- Conduct telephone interviews with prospective clinical candidates, review resumes/CVs, respond to inquiries, and disseminate employment and community information to potential hires.

Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- Registration with Selective Service is required for males born after December 31, 1959.
- A Confidential Financial Disclosure Form is necessary.
- Immunizations for Measles, Rubella, and seasonal influenza are required for all staff working in Indian Health Service facilities.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to starting the position.
- A valid, unrestricted state driver’s license is necessary for driving government vehicles.
- Direct deposit setup is required for payroll purposes.
Background Investigation
Selected candidates must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint check and background investigation, with clearance required before hire. Continued employment is contingent upon the successful completion of this investigation.

Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to fulfill the duties of the position. Experience includes both paid and unpaid roles, such as volunteer work through National Service programs. A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level is required, showcasing effective marketing skills, knowledge of Human Resources policies, and the ability to analyze data and develop reports.
