Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Head Start Family Support Specialist - Community Outreach. In this role, you will work closely with families in high-risk communities to provide support and resources, helping them to reach their goals and improve their overall well-being.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of families and children. As a Family Services Coordinator for Head Start Program, you will be responsible for conducting outreach, recruitment, and engagement activities to promote our program and services. You will also work collaboratively with other team members to develop and implement strategies that address the needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Outreach: Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to promote our program and services.
  • Family Engagement: Work with families to identify their strengths, needs, and goals, and develop plans to support them in achieving their objectives.
  • Case Management: Provide direct case management services to families enrolled in our program, including assessment, planning, and follow-up.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure effective delivery of services and achieve program goals.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience working in human services, early childhood education, mental health, family studies, or related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse populations; knowledge of community resources and services.
