About the Opportunity:


The CrowdStrike Intelligence division is in search of a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our dedicated engineering team. This role focuses on constructing processing pipelines, information storage solutions, and presentation frameworks to support our intelligence analysts.


At the heart of our mission lies the collection, processing, and analysis of malware samples and other critical data on a large scale. The Intelligence Automation team is tasked with prototyping, developing, and managing the systems that facilitate this mission, and we invite you to be a part of it.


Your responsibilities will include building, maintaining, and enhancing the infrastructure that supports the full spectrum of our team's operations. You will engage with both traditional data center and cloud infrastructure, as well as environments dedicated to malware analysis and global threat monitoring.


As we advance our dynamic intelligence mission, project requirements may evolve swiftly, with initiatives varying in duration from weeks to years based on shifts in the surrounding landscape. It will be your duty to provide an adaptable infrastructure that can respond to these changes.


Occasionally, unforeseen issues may arise, and you will leverage your debugging expertise to identify problems, whether they occur at the hardware, network, cloud, kernel, or user space level.


You will oversee all facets of the infrastructure you design, construct, and sustain. This encompasses gathering requirements, making informed technical decisions, creating documentation, mentoring colleagues, proactively monitoring operations, and collecting feedback from stakeholders.


Joining a team of highly skilled infrastructure engineers, you will find support and collaboration. However, as a remote employee within a globally distributed team, direct access to all colleagues may not be available throughout the workday. Therefore, the ability to work independently, communicate asynchronously, and take the initiative in maintaining open lines of communication is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Design, implement, document, and manage our multi-cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications and services.
  • Develop and sustain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and management automation tools.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of our systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure challenges.
  • Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Assess security and compliance risks.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role, with a focus on cloud-native technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed and diverse team.
  • Capacity to independently make sound, justifiable decisions and take action.
  • Proficiency in Go and Python, with experience in developing automation scripts and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, networking fundamentals, and Kubernetes.
