About the Role

We are looking for a talented Cloud Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes and DevOps to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Kubernetes environments and cloud infrastructure. This position demands proficiency in Kubernetes management, cloud architecture, automation, and a solid grasp of DevOps methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Kubernetes Management:

  • Design, deploy, configure, and oversee Kubernetes clusters across various environments (development, staging, production).
  • Possess substantial hands-on experience in managing Kubernetes control planes.
  • Administer containerized applications via Kubernetes, focusing on scaling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Apply security best practices for Kubernetes clusters, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards.

Cloud Infrastructure Oversight:

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Possess extensive hands-on experience in establishing the container infrastructure platform.
  • Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Enhance cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability by leveraging cloud-native services and technologies.

Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD):

  • Establish CI/CD pipelines for automated application build, testing, and deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Integrate CI/CD pipelines with Kubernetes for efficient deployment and management of containerized applications.
  • Automate deployment workflows to ensure reliability, repeatability, and efficiency.

Monitoring and Logging:

  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions for Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure, utilizing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or cloud-native monitoring services.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Establish alerting and incident response processes to ensure prompt resolution of issues.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security measures to safeguard Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure from unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company security policies.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Maintain thorough documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with team members through documentation, presentations, and training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Demonstrated experience in Kubernetes management and container orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for Kubernetes and cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud and containerized environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Kubernetes certification (CKA, CKAD, or equivalent).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native technologies (Docker, Istio, etc.).
  • Familiarity with serverless computing and managed Kubernetes services.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and agile software development practices.
