We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer to join our team at TranSystems. Key Responsibilities- Serve as the Project Engineer for transportation design projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality results.
- Prepare and review technical documents, including design plans, specifications, and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including planners, engineers, designers, and traffic professionals, to develop and implement transportation projects.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, project implementation schedules, and funding plans.
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited engineering school or university program.
- At least two years of experience in transportation design and planning, preferably with a focus on local, state, or federally funded projects.
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina or ability to acquire licensure within a year of employment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Work in a fast-paced office environment, with occasional travel to project sites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement transportation projects.
- Participate in regular team meetings and project updates.
