About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer to join our team at TranSystems. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of transportation design projects, including horizontal and vertical alignments, roadway plans, and 3D modeling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Project Engineer for transportation design projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality results.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, including design plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including planners, engineers, designers, and traffic professionals, to develop and implement transportation projects.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, project implementation schedules, and funding plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited engineering school or university program.
  • At least two years of experience in transportation design and planning, preferably with a focus on local, state, or federally funded projects.
  • Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina or ability to acquire licensure within a year of employment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
