POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves delivering exceptional service to guests by providing high-quality beverages and products while ensuring a tidy and welcoming atmosphere.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(Includes, but is not limited to the following)
  • Consistently prepares quality beverages, whole bean, and food items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Adheres to health, safety, and sanitation protocols for all products.
  • Delivers outstanding guest service by prioritizing guest satisfaction and establishing connections.
  • Identifies and addresses guests' needs effectively.
  • Keeps the workspace organized and clean to assist colleagues in locating resources and products.
  • Follows company policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety, and security measures.
  • Supports the training of new team members through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.
  • Maintains composure during busy periods or unexpected situations to uphold operational standards and set a positive example.
  • Utilizes appropriate procedures and documentation for transactions.
  • Ensures accurate cash handling and reconciliation with the cash cage.
  • Completes cash turn-in documentation and distributes as necessary.
  • Embodies the company's core values, family-style service, mission, and vision.
  • Promotes a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Performs additional job-related tasks as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to quickly learn and follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships.
  • Understanding and compliance with all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Skill in fostering effective working relationships with both staff and guests.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
(May be necessary to perform essential functions of the position)
  • Work may occur in environments that are hot, cold, noisy, or smoky, and may involve slippery surfaces.
  • Tasks may be performed in confined spaces with limited access.
  • Involves the use of solvents, oils, and chemicals.
  • Requires operation of electrical equipment, including coffee machines, microwaves, blenders, and other mechanical devices.
  • Frequent interaction with staff and guests.
  • May be exposed to smoking environments and moderate noise levels.
  • Physical tasks may include bending, reaching, balancing, transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering carts weighing up to 75 lbs., as well as lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs.
  • Regular standing and repetitive use of both hands, including light grasping and manual dexterity.
  • Position requires entering and exiting through designated team member entrances, which may involve navigating stairs.
  • Normal vision and hearing capabilities are required.
  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols, perform basic tasks, and utilize independent judgment.
GUEST SERVICE STANDARDS: Employees are expected to uphold and deliver the company's core values and service standards.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: Must demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests, possess excellent communication and observational skills, and maintain a friendly demeanor to foster a fun and safe environment. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential. Flexibility in scheduling is required, which may include various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
