The Opportunity

RS&H is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our Transportation Practice in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks, including preparing business documents, interfacing with support groups, and supporting activities of South Florida operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing business documents and reports
  • Interfacing with RS&H support groups in legal, human resources, and business development
  • Supporting activities of South Florida operations
  • Performing transactional business activities
  • Supporting monthly invoicing activities
  • Assisting office associates with administrative assignments
  • Managing the physical filing system
  • Scheduling meetings and setting up and cleaning up for meetings
  • Booking travel and managing office supplies
  • Assisting with workspace setup for employees
  • Maintaining company business records
  • Maintaining an inventory of office equipment and supplies
  • Assisting the Area Leader with communication and interactions with clients, suppliers, and property management contacts
Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work in the office Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
  • Knowledge of administrative duties
  • Ability to coordinate complex projects and events
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with executives, clients, customers, contractors, associates, and other key stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Associate or bachelor degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of business support experience in the engineering consulting industry with focus on Civil Engineering/Transportation
  • Minimum of 2 years of business support experience serving public sector/government clients in Florida, including document control, invoicing, business reporting, contract management, and business development
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Vision or other accounting software
