Job Summary:
CoreCivic is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Monitor I to join our team. As a Security Monitor I, you will be responsible for the supervision of the facility population, ensuring the safety and security of residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor resident population and report any suspicious activities or violations of policy, procedures, or regulations.
- Conduct resident counts, searches, room inspections, and vehicle searches as required.
- Process residents for intake/discharge in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Monitor resident worker activities and provide necessary instruction.
- Perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies, and disasters.
Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
- Work experience in the operations of a correctional facility is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
- Must be available to work any hours, any shift.
- A valid driver's license is required.
