Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team at MSC Industrial Supply Co. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and signing medium manufacturing and non-manufacturing customers by proactive prospecting analytics in support of driving maximum profitability.

You will develop compelling value-based proposals, presentations, and other customer-facing content to communicate value, build broad prospect relationship networks, and maintain highly accurate and complete funnel analytics.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and marketing, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing/distributing sales. You will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and have a strong background in selling profitable solutions or services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and sign medium manufacturing and non-manufacturing customers by proactive prospecting analytics
  • Develop compelling value-based proposals, presentations, and other customer-facing content
  • Build broad prospect relationship networks and maintain highly accurate and complete funnel analytics
  • Collaborate with internal teams, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue
  • Travel up to 50% of the time to meet with customers and prospects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a focus on industrial/manufacturing/distributing sales
  • Proven track record of success in sales and marketing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong background in selling profitable solutions or services
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
