Housekeeper Job Description

The Hay-Adams, a boutique hotel in downtown Washington, D.C., is seeking a skilled Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality in our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, and restocking amenities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Housekeeping Office
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to lift and move weights up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
