Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Associate to join our team. As a Housekeeping Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and luxury in our guest rooms, public areas, and common spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and disposing of trash.
  • Maintain professional etiquette with all guests and employees.
  • Be knowledgeable of all hotel services, hotel features, local attractions, and history of the Inn.
  • Greet all guests as though you are welcoming them to your own home.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Clean and replenish public area restrooms and administrative office restrooms.
  • Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the cleanliness of all public areas.
  • Perform all laundry duties, such as washing, drying, folding, and steaming of terry and robes.
  • Ensure all linen closets are stocked and consistently replenished as needed.
  • Sweep, wipe down, and mop all guestroom building porches.
  • Remove trash from public areas and administrative offices.
  • Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum the main dining room after breakfast service.
  • Clean all common areas of assigned guestroom buildings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and replenish items as needed in all guestroom buildings.
  • Complete inventory of Housekeeping items.
  • Communicate any items that fall below designated PAR levels.
  • Assist Housekeepers with cleaning rooms as needed.
  • Complete all items on the daily checklist and submit to Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Complete all assigned projects by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Be anticipatory of guest needs and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate maintenance issues or repair of items related to guestrooms and public areas to the Housekeeping supervisor.
  • Ability to take constructive criticism to help improve faults.
  • Attend department meetings as required.
  • Must meet Forbes Standards in all daily operations and guest interactions.
  • Must follow all disinfecting and sanitization policies.
Requirements
  • 6 months to 1 year of Housekeeping experience.
  • Must be able to work weekends and have a flexible work schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must be well-groomed and well-presented with no visible tattoos.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Forbes Standards.
  • Ability to communicate with a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French.
  • Prior experience working in a 4 or 5-star luxury property.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 30+ lbs.
  • Able to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing.
