Construction Project Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Manager to supervise and coordinate multiple project tasks on one or more construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring project compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise multiple types of project work on one or more assigned locations.
- Support superintendents, field engineering, and estimating to ensure project compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
- Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs, and work schedule for assigned project work.
- Review daily work schedule with direct reports and update monthly schedule from project feedback.
- Review and understand project specifications to support job set up activities at all assigned locations.
- Work with work crews, field engineers, and local utility companies to identify hazardous areas on the job site.
- Provide technical input to identify and resolve project risks, including construction methods, work plan, and material requirements, safety, and schedule activities.
- Document daily activities and meeting notes using company-approved document methods.
- Perform additional assignments per management's direction.
- Present production work plan during initial project meetings to ensure all project crews and leaders are in alignment.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure that project work is equipped with appropriate equipment and material quantities to complete production within assigned budget and schedule.
- Forecast the work schedule to identify possible issues and provide technical or scheduling recommendations to mitigate production issues.
- Coordinate with internal and external departments to ensure all mandated inspections are completed within requested timeframes.
- Support and promote strict adherence to safety and process controls regarding operating equipment, worksite safety, and documentation requirements.
- Supervise subcontractor production and workforce regarding assigned project work.
- Recommend work schedule or work method adjustments regarding subcontractor activities, as needed.
- Coordinate project close-out activities in line with company standards and owner checklist requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of company values and strategic plan.
Requirements
- 15+ years of heavy civil construction experience required.
- 9+ years of superintendent experience required.
- Bachelor's degree a plus.
- Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills required.
- Strong leadership capability with internal drive to mentor and grow internal talent.
- Proven ability to handle complex construction projects using strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
- Proven ability to manage difficult schedules and project demands while maintaining strict adherence to project safety program.
- Developed expertise in a specialized construction type.
- Advanced knowledge of construction site equipment operation and maintenance requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of construction site safety protocols and proven ability to enforce project safety programs.
- Knowledge and understanding of local union or prevailing wage rules.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract-specific plans and specifications.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, and fundamentals geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
