Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing two and three-dimensional sonography imaging and procedures on patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Selects appropriate equipment for use in ultrasound setup, following exam specifications.
  • Explains and performs the procedure with consideration to the level of understanding and age appropriateness for the patient.
  • Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
  • Selects a transducer and adjusts the equipment controls according to the body part to be examined, the depth of field and other specifications of test.
  • Understands and practices proper use of all equipment.
  • Performs procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  • Document patient information appropriately.
  • Adjust and maintain equipment
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree - Highly Preferred
  • Two years of Ultrasound/Vascular experience. - Required
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)- Currently registered-minimal certifications- RDMS abdomen (AB) and vascular (RVT) - Required
  • Current BCLS certification. - Required
  • Experience in ABDOMINAL, OB/GYN, VASCULAR, THYROID and BREAST ULTRASOUNDS. -Including assisting the Radiologist in procedures - REQUIRED
