Job Summary:

The Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist is responsible for performing two and three-dimensional sonography imaging and procedures on patients. This role requires a strong understanding of ultrasound technology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Selects appropriate equipment for use in ultrasound setup, following exam protocols and performs the procedure with consideration to the level of understanding and age appropriateness for the patient.
* Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
* Selects a transducer and adjusts the equipment controls according to the body part to be examined, the depth of field and other specifications of test.
* Understands and practices proper use of all equipment.
* Performs procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.

Requirements:

* Bachelor of Science degree - Highly Preferred
* Two years of Ultrasound/Vascular experience - Required
* American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) - Currently registered
* RDMS abdomen (AB) and vascular (RVT) - Required
* Current BCLS certification - Required

Additional Information:

* Experience in ABDOMINAL, OB/GYN, VASCULAR, THYROID and BREAST ULTRASOUNDS - Including assisting the Radiologist in procedures - REQUIRED

Certification Requirements:

* BLS
* ARDMS
