The Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist at Della Infotech is responsible for performing two and three-dimensional sonography imaging and procedures on patients. Key responsibilities include selecting appropriate equipment, explaining and performing procedures, assessing patient pain, and documenting patient information.

Essential Functions:
  1. Selects equipment for use in ultrasound setup, following exam specifications.
  2. Explains and performs procedures with consideration to patient understanding and age appropriateness.
  3. Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure and makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
  4. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
  5. Selects a transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to body part to be examined, depth of field, and other specifications of test.
  6. Understands and practices proper use of all equipment.
  7. Performs procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  8. Documents patient information appropriately.
  9. Adjusts and maintains equipment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree - Highly Preferred
  • Two years of Ultrasound/Vascular experience - Required
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) - Currently registered - Minimal certifications - RDMS abdomen (AB) and vascular (RVT) - Required
  • Current BCLS certification - Required
  • Experience in ABDOMINAL, OB/GYN, VASCULAR, THYROID, and BREAST ULTRASOUNDS - Including assisting the Radiologist in procedures - REQUIRED
Certification Requirements:
  • BLS
  • ARDMS
State License Requirements:
  • New Hampshire
