About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Relief Mental Health Worker to join our team at the Bridges Crisis Unit. As a key member of our crisis intervention team, you will provide a supportive atmosphere for consumers, respond to emergency situations, and monitor program activity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis intervention and support to consumers in a short-term crisis intervention program.
  • Assist clinicians and interact with consumers in a group setting.
  • Problem-solve crisis situations and intervene with consumers individually and in group settings.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment.
  • Prepare meals for up to 16 residents.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of experience working with persons with emotional impairments.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use.

Working Conditions:

This is a relief position, filling in for regular staff. Shifts include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Required to work weekends and CMHA-CEI observed holidays.

Benefits:

  • $19.62 per hour.
  • 0-38 hours per week, hours are NOT guaranteed.

  • After completing new hire orientation training, staff will receive a $500.00 sign-on bonus.
