Position Overview

Quality Improvement Specialist RN

*This role supports the mission of enhancing patient care and operational excellence.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, averaging 40 hours per week. Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM PST (flexibility may be available).

The Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for facilitating initiatives that enhance patient care quality, mitigate risks, and ensure exceptional service delivery. This role involves collaboration, support, and coordination to drive clinical and procedural enhancements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and consultation to Managers, Directors, and Caregivers.
  • Assist in the development of the hospital's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Plan.
  • Act as a liaison to various projects and resources within the organization.
  • Stay informed on healthcare quality trends and serve as a facilitator for process improvement teams.
  • Utilize expertise in GE tools and methodologies.

Clinical Studies and Review Activities:

  • Conduct prospective or retrospective reviews to assess care effectiveness.
  • Develop screening criteria, indicators, and data collection tools as necessary.
  • Compile data and prepare reports, presenting findings to relevant clinical and support staff.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington Registered Nurse License.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Active enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care hospital environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies, adult learning principles, and data analysis techniques.
