Job Title: Sales Team Lead - San Francisco Market
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Team Lead to join our team in San Francisco. As a Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing sales and administrative support to the Sales team to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating sales calls and client appointments
- Soliciting new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and networking in the local community
- Preparing quotes and contracts for clients
- Traveling within the local area to develop customer accounts and drive business into the specific hotel/cluster, increasing market/customer share in all revenue streams
- Coordinating site inspections as required
- Conducting yourself as a professional representative of the hotel at various industry tradeshows, conferences, and adhering to the guidelines of the budget and marketing plan
- Maintaining hotel and Sales & Marketing databases
- Conducting research and competitive analysis to compile reports
- Assisting with Sales & Marketing projects
- Reporting any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager
- Understanding that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift to other shifts
- Working collaboratively with all departments to ensure proper group arrival, stay, and exit
- Being the point of contact for non-direct calls into the executive office/sales, directing calls and emails for leads to the appropriate sales and catering managers
- Attending property staff meetings and other property-specific meetings as requested by the General Manager/Director of Sales/Management
- Management and upkeep of BEOs
- Performing any other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent work-related experience
- 3 years experience in a similar position, preferably in the hospitality environment
- A proven performer in a fast-paced, high volume, and challenging role
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to achieve tight deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail with administration and data entry is essential
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hospitality office environment is preferred
- Knowledge of Lightspeed, Opera, Fosse, Merlin, Delphi, or STS catering and sales systems is ideal
- Exceptional grooming and personal branding
- Display a competent level of computer literacy
- Must possess initiative, excellent guest service, and decision-making skills
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Ability to work well under pressure coordinating multiple requests at any given time
- Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team
- Flexibility in schedule
- Ability to schedule various services for individuals
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
- Ability to relay instructions and ask for help
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
