Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Construction Services division, working remotely or in our Charleston office.
The ideal candidate will have experience in design, structural inspections, assessments, and reports, including condition evaluations and repair recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Complete site inspections and generate detailed reports
- Design structural components to meet project specifications
- Review blueprints, plans, and change orders to ensure structural integrity
- Perform complex calculations and modeling to verify results
- Develop technical details and cost estimates
- Use AutoCAD and other drafting software to create 2D and 3D designs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
We require a Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, plus a minimum of eight years of relevant work experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit is essential, along with excellent critical thinking skills and good written and verbal communication abilities.
A Professional Engineer license with the capability of getting licensed in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina is also required.
Physical RequirementsThe successful candidate will be able to work for prolonged periods at a desk and on a computer, lift up to 15 pounds, and travel to various project sites.
