**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at UNITED MEDICAL SYSTEMS. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing a high volume of accounts payable with a focus on accuracy, general ledger coding, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Process accounts payable invoices with attention to detail and accuracy
* Ensure timely payments to vendors and manage workflows to meet deadlines
* Evaluate completeness and accuracy of invoices submitted for payment
* Implement corrective action to resolve errors involving invoice coding
* Provide internal and external customer service by responding to finance and account status inquiries
* Maintain accurate files of invoices and paid items for multiple entities

**Requirements:**

* 1-2 years of accounts payable experience required and/or a degree in accounting
* Familiarity with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures (GAAP)
* Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision
* Computer literate and familiar with accounting software programs
* Detail-oriented, self-motivated, team player
