The Community Relations Ambassador role is a unique opportunity to deliver exceptional customer experiences and foster strong community connections at UDR Inc.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and service-oriented individual to join our team in Marina del Rey, California.

About the Role

This position involves collaborating with our community management team to resolve resident concerns and complaints, welcoming prospects and residents, and answering inquiries about our properties and services.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, organizing events and activities to increase resident retention, and ensuring seamless communication between residents, vendors, and our team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the community management team to resolve resident concerns and complaints.
  2. Welcome prospects, residents, and vendors, and answer inquiries about our properties, services, and surrounding area.
  3. Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to telephone calls and texts, and directing inquiries to the appropriate individual or taking messages.
  4. Organize incoming packages systematically and ensure their timely delivery to residents.
  5. Plan, promote, and produce events and activities to enhance resident engagement and satisfaction.
  6. Manage key policy and process by providing keys/fobs to residents or contractors and documenting in accordance with our 'Key Policy'.
  7. Interact with walk-in prospects, showcasing our properties and providing information about lease terms, community amenities, and local area.
  8. Provide resident keys/fobs and property orientation, explaining community features and unit details.
  9. Explain the 'Move-In Inventory' form to new residents and ensure its timely return.
  10. Communicate and verify compliance with mandatory renters' insurance as per company policy (if applicable) after move-in if needed.
  11. Schedule all move-in appointments and coordinate with other associates to ensure seamless execution.
  12. Work closely with our Centralized Admin, Centralized Sales, and Renewal teams to achieve leasing and renewal goals.
  13. Utilize Sugar CRM to effectively manage resident relations, service requests, and resident communications.
  14. Complete market summary and comp reports as directed.

Requirements
  • Candidate should have customer service experience, preferably in multi-family, hospitality, or retail industries.
  • Minimum one year of office experience is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Hourly Range: $21/hr. – $23/hr., depending on experience.
