Job Summary

Corvid Technologies LLC is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team of experts in high-rate physics and computational methods. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the analysis and optimization of complex mechanical systems using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Analysis: Perform complex technical analysis, including numerical model development, failure analysis, structural integrity analysis, damage analysis, data reduction, data plotting, and data visualization.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on a variety of projects, synthesizing results to present to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Program Support: Support all elements of the program, including quality of the work, budget, vision, strategy, and customer communication.
  • Training and Development: Support and train junior team members.
Requirements
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline; Master's or PhD preferred.
  • Experience: 4-8 years of experience in material science, numerical methods, and finite element analysis.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrated subject matter expert knowledge of structural dynamics.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in finite element analysis (Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna) and working knowledge of CAD and numerical grid generation techniques and applications.
  • Scripting and Language: Experience with scripting and language capabilities (i.e. Python) and Linux.
