About the Role

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our RF Mechanical Team, you will be responsible for providing innovative design solutions for the packaging of antennas, RF Circuit Card Assemblies, radomes, and RF test equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead diverse multidiscipline teams to develop and implement RF mechanical design solutions
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish technology roadmaps and enable modernization
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans
  • Conduct failure investigations and root cause analyses to identify and implement corrective actions

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience with RF mechanical design, analysis, and testing is required
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience as a Responsible Engineering Authority (REA), Control Account Manager (CAM), and/or Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL)
  • Supplier management experience for built-to-print or build-to-specification RF products
  • Experience creating and presenting professional-level design documentation to company leadership and program customers
  • Creo Simulate or ANSYS Workbench experience for preliminary structural and thermal analysis of design concepts
