Software Engineer Job Description

**Job Summary:**

GeoLogics Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to design, implement, and test Java-based applications and software components for satellite ground systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Linux, and DevOps, with experience in using Splunk Enterprise and Splunk ITSI for monitoring and analysis.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design, implement, and test Java-based applications and software components for satellite ground systems.
  • Develop solutions using Python and JavaScript.
  • Perform DevOps tasks using Docker and Ansible.
  • Use Splunk Enterprise and Splunk ITSI for monitoring and analysis.
  • Work with existing code and make modifications as necessary.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Over 4 years of experience using Java in a Linux environment and using unit testing tools (e.g., JUnit).
  • Familiarity with Git and Atlassian Toolsuite.
  • Linux System Administration and Troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of deploying and troubleshooting containerized workloads using Rancher, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Administration of distributed Splunk deployments.
  • Integrating various data sources into ITSI for monitoring and analysis.
