Compensation: $70 to $88 based on Benefits Package

Are you experienced in Java Software Development? Have you utilized Splunk Enterprise for logging Java applications? We are looking for a Software Engineer with a background in creating solutions for the Defense Sector. You may have the flexibility to work onsite or collaborate with our team remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and validate Java-based applications and software components for satellite ground systems.
  • Utilize Python and JavaScript for development tasks.
  • Engage in DevOps practices using Docker and Ansible.
  • Leverage Splunk Enterprise and Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).
  • Modify and enhance existing code as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Java within a Linux environment, including proficiency with unit testing tools (e.g., JUnit).
  • Familiarity with Git and Atlassian Tool Suite.
  • Experience in Linux System Administration and Troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of deploying and managing containerized workloads using Rancher, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Experience in administering distributed Splunk deployments.
  • Ability to integrate various data sources into ITSI for effective monitoring and analysis.
