Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for administering chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under the direction of a physician. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining knowledge of drug reimbursement procedures, completing chemotherapy charge forms, and ensuring pre-authorization and consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration.

Responsibilities
  • Administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under the direction of a physician
  • Maintain knowledge of drug reimbursement procedures
  • Complete chemotherapy charge forms
  • Ensure pre-authorization and consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration
  • Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications
  • Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central lines catheter devices
  • Administer all medications using correct medication product, dosage/amount, route, time, and technique
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum two years nursing experience required, oncology experience preferred
