Job Summary

We're seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you'll play a crucial role in patient care by gathering essential information during the clinical process under the supervision of Registered Nurses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with RNs and healthcare staff to implement established policies and procedures, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care and intervening with proper techniques and safety precautions.
  • Gather patient history, verify medications, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up, demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive healthcare support.
  • Adhere to designated work schedules, responding effectively to codes or patient crises as per site policies, and assist healthcare practitioners as assigned.
  • Prioritize infection control techniques and principles, contributing to the emotional and physical comfort and safety of patients.
  • Maintain working areas, supplies, and equipment, attending mandatory staff meetings/training to uphold a high standard of healthcare delivery and professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the State if certification is required by the State or the facility.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification if required.
