Job Title: Asset Services Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Services Associate to join our team at Nomura International.

Job Summary

The Asset Services Associate will be responsible for handling and processing corporate action events, including reorganizations, splits, rights offerings, spinoffs, mergers, and acquisitions. The successful candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle and process time-sensitive corporate action events, including reconciliation and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work directly with custodians to ensure elections are received and in good order.
  • Manage relationships with internal trading desks, finance, trade support, settlements, and repo teams.
  • Create, monitor, and test various metrics, reports, and procedures.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial asset services, with a strong understanding of equity, fixed income, delta 1, swap, and prime broker accounts.
  • Experience in processing corporate actions, reorgs, dividends, and PNI.
  • Firm understanding of securities lending, repo, and settlement areas.
  • Proficient in MS Office and able to quickly learn internal and industry applications.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
