Key Responsibilities- Outcome Coordinator Functions
Apply nursing standards to perform outcome coordinator functions, promoting a holistic understanding of the application of technology to improve clinical workflows and patient care.
- Educator Functions
Influence end-user training through the application of clinical expertise and technical skills, contributing to the implementation of communication and education plans in conjunction with clinical educators and leadership.
- Consultant and Project Coordinator Functions
Maintain ongoing user communication and support to ensure user competency and obtain information on usage of the system and workflow concerns through established, regularly scheduled rounding.
- Advocate Functions
Ensure technology solutions support patient care standards and outcomes, operational collaboration with users, service area leadership, and IT field services to resolve conflicts between workflow and the electronic health record.
- Knowledge Management
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and advances in the field of healthcare IT as well as new developments of electronic health record and associated technologies.
Incumbents must possess knowledge and experience equivalent to completion of a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or related business discipline, and have an active RN license for a clinical position in a practicing state.
Must have two to three years of experience working within a complex and diverse healthcare setting, be proficient in the use of system office applications, and possess a basic understanding of integrated clinical systems.
Must have highly developed interpersonal and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize needs rapidly, convey messages and thoughts clearly to a diverse audience, and promote change among large groups of workers.
