Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our Inpatient Surgery team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients and families in a fast-paced inpatient surgery environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with basic patient care, including morning and evening care, toileting, peri-care, and feeding, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, adhering to strict medication protocols.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans, prioritizing patient needs and goals.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families, promoting a positive and calming environment.
