Job Summary
The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst is primarily tasked with overseeing the cybersecurity incident response lifecycle in collaboration with the team, managing systems and processes under the cybersecurity division, and assessing the effectiveness of all systems and processes that significantly influence the organization's cybersecurity posture.
This role demands a solid technical foundation and a comprehensive understanding of risk mitigation and technical controls across various domains, including incident response, Information Security Risk Management (ISRM), secure architecture, identity management, business continuity, endpoint security, SIEM, web security, email security, and vulnerability management.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
- Manage technologies and processes owned by the cybersecurity team, including web filtering, endpoint protection, incident response, email security, and security awareness.
- Implement processes that significantly impact cybersecurity, including incident response, ISRM, secure architecture, identity management, business continuity, endpoint security, SIEM, web security, email security, and vulnerability management.
- Evaluate current computer systems and procedures, designing information systems solutions to enhance organizational security, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Assess systems and networks to identify deviations from acceptable configurations and policies, measuring the effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
- Analyze technologies to ensure comprehensive protection against unauthorized access to company networks and systems.
- Support automation and orchestration efforts to optimize team capabilities and minimize routine tasks.
- Recommend necessary adjustments to the information security team to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and privacy laws.
- Stay informed about the security industry threat landscape, particularly within the energy sector.
- Recognize personal development needs and proactively seek coaching, networking, and training opportunities to ensure ongoing success in the role.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages open communication, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information assurance, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferably 6+ years of hands-on technical security experience.
- Experience managing information security incidents related to malicious websites, emails, malware, unauthorized access, Denial of Service, and password attacks.
- Hands-on technical experience with security solutions such as MS Windows Defender, MS Exchange Online Protection, MS Azure Security Center, MS Active Directory, Cisco Umbrella, Tanium, Cisco firewalls, Fortinet firewalls, Splunk, MS Azure Sentinel, or Rapid 7.
- Knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as NIST, NERC CIP, TSA Pipeline, PCI, and SOX.
- Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps methodologies.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exemplary organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proven judgment and the ability to make quick decisions in complex situations.
- High level of flexibility and adaptability.
- Exhibit integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism in representing the company.

- CEH Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) preferred.
- GIAC Certifications preferred.
