Job Summary

A1 Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity System Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing the Cybersecurity strategy, program objectives, and project plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement improved enterprise Cybersecurity processes and services across multiple Cybersecurity domains/functions to ensure the protection of county information and IT assets.
  • Administer and maintain enterprise Cybersecurity technology platforms and services related to Elections Administrative Department and the Harris County enclave.
  • Perform analysis of Cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and exposures, and provide effective recommendations, solutions, and remediation plans.
  • Develop procedures, job aids, metrics/measures, reports, and presentations to support the overall delivery of Cybersecurity objectives.
  • Participate in Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CIRT) investigation and response activities as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar area of study.
  • CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Network+ Certification or other relevant industry certifications.
  • Two (2) years of progressive work experience in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Direct experience operating enterprise security solutions, threat management, endpoint detection and response tools and technologies.
  • Experience validating, analyzing, and prioritizing reported vulnerability and security risks related to solution implementation and design.
  • A basic understanding of Cybersecurity concepts across most domains, applicable security models (e.g. NIST and CIS Critical Security Controls) and regulations (e.g. CJIS, PCI, HIPAA, Privacy).
