About the Role:

The Patient Family Relations Specialist plays a vital role in serving as a liaison between patients, families, and the organization. This position is responsible for acknowledging and responding to concerns and requests in a compassionate and supportive manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and respond to patient concerns, complaints, and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, families, and providers to enhance patient-centered care.
  • Negotiate and mitigate expectations to promote satisfaction, ensure quality, and minimize the risk of adversarial outcomes.
  • Provide consultation and training to professional staff and hospital regarding disclosure and patient-centered care.
  • Respond to requests for intervention to assist in managing difficult patient/family situations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5 years of experience in customer service development, training, and implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to advocate for patients and families in a complex clinical environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with all levels of the organization.
