Job Summary:
The Project Engineer role at USG is an entry-level position tailored for individuals with engineering degrees. This 'hands-on' training opportunity involves immediate responsibilities such as troubleshooting engineering or production challenges, exploring avenues for operational enhancements, and executing capital expenditure initiatives for new or upgraded facilities and equipment.

Role Responsibilities:
- Located within a manufacturing facility, the Project Engineer assists in monitoring and executing safety programs within the Engineering Department and the plant.
- Takes on the Project Manager responsibilities for preparing and completing all assigned Capital Authorities and Job Sheet requests.
- Applies technical expertise to recommend and design various process improvements as needed by the operational departments.
- Supports Engineering Department supervisors with routine maintenance tasks and follow-ups essential for daily operations.
- Aids the Engineering Manager in planning and executing both routine and non-routine maintenance expenditures.
- Gains exposure to direct supervision of plant engineering teams and external contractors.
- This position is structured to provide the incumbent with extensive manufacturing exposure, paving the way for future roles with greater responsibility.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
- Previous full-time or co-op/intern experience in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Drafting software) is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- High organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to relocate for career advancement opportunities within the company.
