Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Global Operations and Quality Finance team at Abbott Laboratories. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to our Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for the month-end close process of Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area based in Alameda, CA, in compliance with Division and Corporate reporting requirements.
- Perform financial planning and analysis functions for operating expenses, capital, and project expenses, and balance sheet for Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area.
- Responsible for ensuring balance sheet accounts are reconciled as per agreed timings, explaining balance sheet fluctuations, and reviewing resulting analysis with the Assistant Controller at least quarterly.
- Manage a liaison relationship with Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area, providing guidance and support in finance-related matters for proper forecasting and business support.
- Participate in ad hoc/periodic meetings and projects from Global Quality Assurance and Compliance.
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
- 3-5 years of financial analysis/FP&A experience.
- Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and systems.
- Knowledge of the principles, processes, and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
- Highly proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial data to make recommendations and problem-solve.
- Master's Degree/MBA preferred.
- Experience with SAP, Hyperion EssBase, and Power BI.
