About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Global Operations and Quality Finance team at Abbott Laboratories. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to our Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the month-end close process of Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area, ensuring compliance with Division and Corporate reporting requirements.
  • Preparation and validation of journal entries, including interaction with Genpact and Corporate Financial Services teams.
  • Actuals reporting and analysis of actual vs forecast.
  • Responsible for ensuring balance sheet accounts are reconciled as per agreed timings, explaining balance sheet fluctuations and review resulting analysis with the Assistant Controller at least quarterly.
  • Perform the forecasting, and analysis function for operating expenses, capital and project expenses, and balance sheet for Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area.
  • Responsible for the assets management of Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area, including assets settlement and periodic asset verification.
  • Ensure adequate internal controls are followed.
  • Manage a liaison relationship with Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area, providing guidance and support in finance related matters for proper forecasting and business support.
  • Participate in ad hoc/periodic meetings and projects from Global Quality Assurance and Compliance.
  • Responsible for establishing, developing, and implementing appropriate processes and procedures to ensure that the financial planning process provides for efficient and effective decision support tools for senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or economics.
  • 3-5 years financial analysis / FP&A experience.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and systems.
  • Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
  • Highly Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial data to make recommendations as well as problem solve.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree / MBA.
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion EssBase, and Power BI.
