About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Abbott Laboratories. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting and partnering with Global Finance & Commercial Area teams with a particular focus on sales and the P&L. You will coordinate with Division HQ to meet finance requirements and deadlines for the team. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance and create analytics to support the understanding of sales in our LBE submissions and other reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and help develop the forecasts for Global Commercial for Plan, rLBE, and OEM
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of the financial submissions
  • Meet deadlines set by Division HQ and DVP Global Commercial Finance on multiple schedules due on a monthly/quarterly/ad hoc basis
  • Interpret financial results and recommend options based upon analysis of data and information
  • Contribute to the strategic planning process by providing baseline information and financial support to non-financial business partners
  • Establish partnerships within Global Commercial, Division HQ and Area Finance teams to acquire and/or provide relevant information
  • Respond to ad hoc financial and market requests
  • Identify meaningful analytics including trend analyses, which can be gleaned from rLBE submissions that can be presented to Global Commercial senior leadership to help ensure forecast accuracy and identify areas for potential improvement within the P&L

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in finance, accounting or economics)
  • 3 years financial analysis experience
  • Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems
  • Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting
  • Highly proficient in Excel
