Kaiser Permanente is looking for a Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our dedicated team.

Position Overview

This role involves delivering essential diagnostic services within a clinical environment, ensuring all tasks are executed in alignment with our organizational mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting diagnostic radiological examinations using advanced imaging technology, including routine, emergency, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic procedures, adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Managing image processing and utilizing the current Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Collaborating with radiologists for film quality assurance and examination clarifications.
  • Handling patient transport, administrative tasks, and maintaining supply inventory. Responsible for patient registration and scheduling.
  • Participating in on-call or standby rotations as necessary and performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Experience:
  • N/A
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure and Certification:
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) or Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon).
  • Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required at the time of hire.
Additional Skills:
  • Proficient in the daily operation of diagnostic imaging equipment and healthcare computer systems.
  • Exemplary customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of radiology procedures and equipment for various examinations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with digital radiographic equipment within the last three years.
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with McKesson PACS and EPIC electronic medical records.
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Science or a related field.
