We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
Responsibilities- Medication Management: Participate in Epic order verification, prepare and deliver medications and information to physicians, nurses, and patients within the hospital.
- Supervision: Supervise technical staff in all phases of their duties, including checking all orders, IV admixtures, and repackaging of medications.
- Pharmaceutical Care: Provide daily pharmaceutical care to patients through prevention, adverse drug reaction management, pharmacokinetic consults, and monitoring.
- Coverage: Assist with coverage at the Bel Air Campus, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
- Licensure: Current Maryland pharmacist license.
- Experience: Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- Work Environment: Work inside in a clean, well-light environment.
- Physical Demands: Frequent walking, standing, and sitting, with occasional lifting, bending, and reaching.
