Job Title: Global Category Manager - Electronics Components

Eaton's Corporate Sector is seeking a highly skilled Global Category Manager - Electronics Components to lead the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide supply strategy for the procurement and management of electronics components spend and supply base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and manage suppliers worldwide in accordance with global practices and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure key metrics for the procurement function are achieved, including Cost Out, Resiliency, DPO, supplier consolidation, Diversity Spend, Sustainability, etc.
  • Develop and execute a sourcing strategy aligned with the Eaton Enterprise Strategy.
  • Leverage spend to negotiate better prices and payment term contracts, long-term agreements, etc.
  • Ensure high-quality and delivery performance is maintained by suppliers/associated partners at all times.
  • Leverage existing supplier relationships, identify new supplier opportunities, and work to consolidate the supply base.
  • Analyze spend by conducting RFQs, ERFQs, E-Auctions, and should costing.
  • Align with business manufacturing leaders regarding make vs. buy and insourcing/outsourcing of electronics components.
  • Lead continuous improvement events for driving pipeline activities and implemented cost savings (e.g., VAVE, Value Stream Mapping, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Category Managers on should cost models and help set the stage for supplier negotiations.
  • Work closely with electronics components suppliers as well as internal Eaton manufacturing facilities to ensure Eaton plants are supplied at all times at the most competitive price.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electronics manufacturing/sourcing for electronic assemblies or components.
  • Manager of people experience.
  • Multisite, regional, or divisional management experience required.
  • Travel up to 30% to 40% (minimum 1-2 times per month) required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of any Eaton location within the US. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA from an accredited institution.
  • Program Management experience.
  • Background in category management.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $136,500.03 - $200,200.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
