This position provides a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of seniors while working in a supportive and caring atmosphere.

Position Overview

The Caregiver reports directly to the Wellness Director and collaborates with the Wellness Manager to deliver personalized care and services tailored to each resident's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical and mental health to the Wellness Director promptly.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of medical materials and assist with inventory management.
  • Help coordinate shift coverage during unexpected absences.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new caregivers.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as necessary, ensuring appropriate medical follow-up.
  • Assist residents in maintaining a clean and organized living space.
  • Attend to residents' needs promptly and efficiently.
  • Support residents with meal selection and dining assistance as required.
  • Participate in activity programs as assigned.
  • Keep accurate records in accordance with company policies.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training, completing a minimum of 6 hours annually.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all emergency protocols and safety regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Wellness Director and team members.
  • Promptly inform the Wellness Director or Manager of any significant changes in residents' health.
Qualifications:
  • Current State Nurse's Aide registration is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience and passion for working with the elderly population.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds.
  • Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • In good physical and emotional health, free from communicable diseases.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift as needed.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods.
  • May require the use of assistive devices such as a Hoyer Lift.
Additional Information:
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Willingness to adapt to various shifts as needed.
  • Potential exposure to infectious materials and challenging resident behaviors.
  • Background checks and drug testing may be required.
