The Mansions at Alpharetta is seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Caregiver. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a nurturing environment that prioritizes the well-being of our residents.

Position Overview

The Caregiver will report directly to the Wellness Director and Wellness Manager, providing essential services and support tailored to each resident's unique care plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
  • Monitor residents' overall health and promptly report any changes to the Wellness Director.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of medical materials and assist with inventory management.
  • Coordinate shift coverage in case of unexpected absences.
  • Support the onboarding process for new team members.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
  • Help residents maintain a clean and organized living space.
  • Attend to resident requests and needs in a timely manner.
  • Assist with meal service and selection as required.
  • Participate in activity programs as assigned.
  • Keep accurate records in accordance with company policies.
  • Engage in ongoing training and education, completing a minimum of 6 hours annually.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all emergency protocols and safety regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Wellness Director and fellow staff members.
  • Notify the Wellness Director or Manager of any significant changes in residents' health.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Current State Nurse's Aide registration.
  • Experience in senior care and a genuine passion for working with the elderly.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with residents and their families.
  • Good physical and emotional health, free from communicable diseases.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift as required.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Potential use of assistive devices such as a Hoyer Lift.
Additional Information:
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts beyond the original schedule.
  • Possible exposure to infectious materials and challenging resident behaviors.
  • Background checks and drug screenings may be required.
