Position Overview:

SmartSource Technical Solutions is seeking an HR Information Systems Analyst for a Direct Hire opportunity.

This role requires a full-time commitment to onsite work. The primary responsibility of the HRIS Analyst is to support the development, testing, implementation, and ongoing management of human resource information systems (HRIS). This position acts as a technical liaison and is responsible for overseeing user acceptance testing of system modifications, report generation, and analyzing workflows for potential enhancements while maximizing HR systems efficiency.

The incumbent will engage in cross-training and provide support across various areas, with a primary focus on System Configuration. The HRIS Analyst will be tasked with the configuration, development, testing, and implementation of both new and existing system functionalities. Additionally, the HRIS Analyst will participate in system upgrades, patches, troubleshooting, testing, and other technical initiatives as assigned. This role will also provide level 2 support to associates regarding technical issues related to HR Information Systems and will be responsible for creating user training materials and maintaining the HR portal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing, and implementation of Oracle Cloud HCM modules (Core HR, Benefits, Compensation, Career Development, Succession Planning, Performance, Absence, HCM Analytics). Collaborate with both functional and technical teams to coordinate application upgrades and fixes. Maintain HRMS system tables and document processes and outcomes. Configure, develop, and independently manage Oracle Cloud HCM modules.
  • Provide production support by researching and resolving HRMS issues, unexpected results, or process discrepancies; perform scheduled activities; and recommend solutions or alternative methods to meet requirements.
  • Enhance HRIS processes by integrating software and systems to create a highly automated and interconnected set of operations.
  • Conduct audits on HR processes, documentation, and data, taking appropriate actions based on available information and consequences.
  • Maintain expertise in specific areas of responsibility through continuous learning of new technologies and industry best practices.
  • Stay informed about current trends in HRMS, focusing on product development, delivery, and support while applying key technologies. Continuously enhance knowledge of HR and HRIS applications/tools.
  • Propose process and customer service improvements and innovative solutions, subject to approval by relevant leadership prior to implementation.
  • Facilitate training sessions; develop user procedures and guidelines. Train clients on new processes and functionalities. Educate new system users.
  • Create and maintain master structural data within the system (e.g., Department/Organization tree, Job codes, locations, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in Core HR and multiple modules within Oracle Cloud HCM: Benefits, Compensation, Career Development, Succession Planning, Performance, Absence Management
  • 7 years of combined experience in Information Systems
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries
  • Advanced skills in writing Fast Formula
  • Understanding of quantitative and qualitative measurement and data/system design principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience with a programming language and PL/SQL is preferred
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with general guidance
  • Familiarity with Project Management Tools
