About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Analyst 3 to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing and building system interfaces for clinical ADT, Results, Orders, and other complex interface types.

You will provide strategic technical leadership to drive projects forward, implement enhancement requests, and maintain existing interfaces in our production environment. Additionally, you will research other technologies to provide reliable and proven solutions to integration needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build system interfaces for clinical ADT, Results, Orders, and other complex interface types
  • Provide strategic technical leadership to drive projects forward
  • Implement enhancement requests and maintain existing interfaces in our production environment
  • Research other technologies to provide reliable and proven solutions to integration needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude, highly motivated
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Ability to write clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Knowledge of Epic Interoperability Options
  • Demonstrated skill to work independently and to prioritize and manage a relative number of simultaneous requests
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, preferably in a hospital setting
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing the Corepoint integration engine
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry standards
  • Understanding of CA CDPH state reporting requirements
  • Experience integrating with HIEs
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Powershell
  • Understanding of ITIL
  • Experience using Service Now in various capacities
