Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive emotional support through individual interactions and support groups.
  • Foster self-esteem and confidence among clients with your empathetic approach.
  • Deliver informational support by facilitating classes, training, and seminars.
  • Coordinate referrals and provide tangible assistance to help clients navigate challenges.
  • Create a sense of community by facilitating social support in designated spaces and activities.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid NJ driver's license.
  • A history of substance abuse with a minimum of two years of sobriety.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to complete the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Training.
