Job Title: Bilingual Peer Recovery Specialist

Job Summary:

Owen Health Care is seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Bilingual Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team. As a Full-Time Bilingual Peer Recovery Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive emotional support to individuals seeking recovery. Your bilingual skills will enable you to foster meaningful connections with clients from diverse backgrounds, promoting trust and open communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and guidance to clients in recovery
  • Facilitate support groups and classes to equip individuals with the skills they need to become peer support specialists
  • Coordinate referrals and provide tangible assistance to clients, helping them navigate challenges such as transportation, housing, food, and clothing
  • Create a sense of community by facilitating social support in designated spaces and activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Valid NJ driver's license
  • At least 18 years old
  • History of substance abuse with a minimum of two years of sobriety
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to complete the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Training
