The Senior IBMi Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the IBMi Series servers and their associated systems and components. This position is essential for ensuring uninterrupted operations to maintain the efficiency and reliability of our systems. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in installing, managing, and maintaining IBMi systems. The Senior Administrator will be the primary support for these systems, utilizing their expertise to optimize performance while also leveraging available support resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, manage, and maintain IBMi power systems and related components.
  • Apply PTF patches to all instances on a monthly basis.
  • Configure, manage, and test backup and recovery systems.
  • Oversee disaster recovery processes, including failover and failback using Mimix replication.
  • Manage and maintain the GoAnywhere FTP server.
  • Handle configuration and maintenance of HMS crypto cards.
  • Manage DCM, including the addition and removal of certificates.
  • Collaborate with vendors for the management of UPS and generator systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience in IBM iSeries administration.
  • Experience with IBM Power 9+ hardware.
  • Familiarity with IBM FS9000 storage or similar SAN technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with IBM Tape libraries.
  • Knowledge of IBM Crypto cards is a plus.
  • Understanding of iACS configuration and Kerberos authentication is preferred.
  • Experience with Mimix is required.
  • Familiarity with GoAnywhere or similar FTP applications is preferred.
  • Experience with Turnover lifecycle Management software is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of CL programming or scripting is required.
  • Familiarity with software such as Sequel/Esend, KeyesMail, Alliance logging, IMS/21 imaging, TAATools, Hawkeye, Progen Plus, GETURI, and DBU is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of security best practices is essential.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with standard working hours from Monday through Friday. Some after-hours and weekend work may be required.
